Full Ritual Instructions

Begin by creating sacred space. Light incense and play music that helps you shift into a ritual mindset. The included herbal blend may be burned on charcoal, or you may use an incense of your own choosing.

Cleanse both your aura and your physical space using your preferred method of spiritual cleansing. You may choose to light palo santo, cedar, sage, incense, or another cleansing herb or resin that aligns with your practice. As the smoke rises, visualize all unwanted energy dissolving and leaving your body, your home, and your spirit. Imagine yourself surrounded by clear, bright, protective light.

If desired, create an altar or ritual workspace using candles, protective symbols, crystals, offerings, deities, ancestors, or any spiritual tools meaningful to your practice. If you do not maintain a formal altar, simply choose a quiet place where you can focus your intention.

On a piece of paper, write a petition describing everything you wish to release. This may include feelings of spiritual heaviness, negativity, misfortune, envy directed toward you, energetic attachments, lingering anxiety, or any influences that have disturbed your peace.

Hold the petition between your hands and charge it with your intention. Visualize every trace of unwanted energy being drawn out of your body, your mind, and your surroundings. See yourself becoming lighter, calmer, protected, and completely restored.

Next, hold the candle in your hands and charge it with the same intention. Carve protective symbols, sigils, runes, affirmations, or words such as cleansed, protected, renewed, or any symbols that hold personal meaning for you.

Apply the ritual oil to the candle, sprinkle a small amount of herbal blend onto your petition paper, then roll the candle through the herbs while speaking your intention aloud.

Place the dressed candle into the included cast iron holder and set it inside a fire-safe bowl or dish. Fold your petition away from yourself once, then continue folding counterclockwise four times to symbolize releasing negativity from your life. Place the folded petition beneath the candle holder.

Light the candle and spend several moments visualizing brilliant protective light surrounding you. Imagine any heaviness dissolving completely as the flame burns. Feel yourself becoming spiritually lighter, emotionally calmer, and fully protected.

Allow the candle to burn completely. Leave the petition beneath the holder overnight. The following day, either burn the petition to ash in a fire-safe container or dispose of it away from your home as a symbolic act of releasing what has been lifted from your life.

Take a few deep breaths and give thanks to your guides, deities, ancestors, the elements, or simply to the universe according to your own spiritual path.
