Sometimes this ritual is used by those trying to conceive. Sometimes it's performed to support a healthy pregnancy, strengthen the bond between parents, encourage a peaceful home, or simply invite the nurturing, abundant energy of the Empress into your life. However you choose to work with it, this ritual was designed to help support those goals.

If you're a seasoned practitioner, take a look anyway. Included is helpful information on your kit, techniques I have found to be especially effective beyond lighting a wick, and suggestions for continuing the work after the initial ritual is complete.

Full Ritual Instructions

Begin by creating sacred space and cleansing your aura and the physical space around you. Light incense and play music that helps you shift into a ritual mindset. The included herbal blend may be burned on charcoal, or you may use an incense of your own choosing. 

As the smoke rises, visualize fear, disappointment, stress, grief, uncertainty, and anything standing in the way of a healthy, happy family gently dissolving and leaving your field.

If desired, create an altar or ritual workspace using fresh flowers, family photographs, baby shoes, ultrasound photos, meaningful heirlooms, fertility symbols, crystals (amethyst is wonderful for protecting babies and warding off nightmares), or other meaningful objects connected to the family you're hoping to create. If you do not maintain a formal spiritual practice, simply choose a quiet space where you can focus clearly on your intention.

On a piece of paper, write a clear and specific petition describing the family you're calling in. You may write about conception, a healthy pregnancy, a healthy baby, supportive parents, a peaceful home, or anything else that feels important to your journey. Be as specific as possible.

Hold the petition paper between your hands and charge it with your intention. Visualize yourself already living the life you've described. Picture yourself holding a healthy baby, celebrating milestones together, supporting one another through every stage of the journey, and creating a home filled with love, laughter, patience, and peace. Allow yourself to fully experience the feelings of gratitude, excitement, hope, and unconditional love.

Next, hold the candle in your hands and charge it with the same intention. Carve names, hearts, fertility symbols, affirmations, sigils, or phrases related to your desired outcome into the wax.

Apply the ritual oil to the candle, sprinkle a small amount of herbal blend onto your petition paper, then roll the candle through the herbs while speaking your intention aloud.

Place the dressed candle into the included cast iron holder and set it inside a fire-safe bowl or dish. Fold your petition paper toward yourself once, then continue folding clockwise four times to symbolically draw fertility, health, love, abundance, and new beginnings into your life. Place the folded petition beneath the candle holder.

Light the candle and allow it to burn completely. Spend a few quiet moments focusing on the life you're building. Trust that every act of love, hope, and intention helps prepare the way for what you're calling in.

Once the candle has finished burning, leave the petition beneath the holder overnight. The following day, either burn the petition to ash in a fire-safe container or place it somewhere meaningful, such as beneath your mattress, inside a keepsake box, with baby planning materials, or on your altar as a reminder of the intention you've set.
