Lady Justice Ritual Guide
Welcome. I'm glad you're here :)
This ritual was designed to support fair outcomes, favorable resolutions, honest communication, and justice in legal matters, disputes, and situations where the truth deserves to be seen.
Sometimes this ritual is used before court dates, legal proceedings, custody matters, contract negotiations, mediation, or difficult conversations. Other times it's used when you're simply asking for fairness, accountability, and the best possible outcome for everyone involved. However you choose to work with it, this ritual was designed to help support those goals.
If you're a baby witch, you'll find detailed instructions to guide you through the process. No gatekeeping here.
If you're a seasoned practitioner, take a look anyway. Included is helpful information on your kit, techniques I have found to be especially effective beyond lighting a wick, and suggestions for continuing the work after the initial ritual is complete.
Full Ritual Instructions
Begin by creating sacred space. Light incense and play music that helps you shift into a ritual mindset. The included herbal blend may be burned on charcoal, or you may use an incense of your own choosing. Cleanse both your aura and your physical space. As the smoke rises, visualize confusion, dishonesty, fear, unnecessary conflict, and anything clouding the truth dissolving and leaving your field.
If desired, create an altar or ritual workspace using legal documents, contracts, court paperwork, correspondence, photographs, scales, feathers, meaningful symbols of justice, or other objects connected to the situation you're seeking resolution for. If you do not maintain a formal spiritual practice, simply choose a quiet space where you can focus clearly on your intention.
On a piece of paper, write a clear and specific petition describing the outcome you're hoping to achieve. Focus on fairness, honesty, accountability, and a just resolution. Be as specific as possible.
Hold the petition paper between your hands and charge it with your intention. Visualize the situation resolving fairly. Picture yourself speaking confidently, being heard, presenting your truth clearly, and walking away knowing the outcome reflects what is right and just. Allow yourself to fully experience the feelings of relief, confidence, peace, and resolution.
Next, hold the candle in your hands and charge it with the same intention. Carve names, dates, affirmations, scales, sigils, or phrases related to your desired outcome into the wax.
Apply the ritual oil to the candle, sprinkle a small amount of herbal blend onto your petition paper, then roll the candle through the herbs while speaking your intention aloud.
Place the dressed candle into the included cast iron holder and set it inside a fire-safe bowl or dish. Fold your petition paper toward yourself once, then continue folding clockwise four times to symbolically draw fairness, truth, and favorable resolution into your life. Place the folded petition beneath the candle holder.
Light the candle and allow it to burn completely. Spend a few quiet moments visualizing the matter resolving peacefully and fairly. Focus on clarity, truth, and justice rather than fear or anger.
Once the candle has finished burning, leave the petition beneath the holder overnight. The following day, either burn the petition to ash in a fire-safe container or place it with your legal paperwork, planner, or other documents connected to the situation until the matter has been resolved.
So mote it be.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need experience to use this kit?
Not at all.
Lady Justice was designed to be approachable for beginners while remaining useful for experienced practitioners.
Do I have to be involved in a legal case?
Absolutely not.
Many practitioners use this ritual during legal matters, but it's equally appropriate for disputes, negotiations, workplace conflicts, family disagreements, contracts, or any situation where they're seeking fairness and accountability.
Does this guarantee I'll win my case?
No. There are no guarantees in magick.
This ritual is designed to help you focus your intention on truth, fairness, justice, and the best possible outcome while giving your work a clear spiritual direction. Many practitioners choose to perform this ritual alongside the practical steps they're already taking, not instead of them.
As powerful as magick can be, it should never replace sound legal advice or professional representation.
How often can I perform the ritual?
As often as you feel called.
Many practitioners revisit this work before court dates, mediation, important meetings, contract negotiations, or whenever they need additional clarity and confidence.
Do I have to use all of the herbs and oil at once?
Please don't!
A little goes a long way. Most kits contain enough material for up to 30 individual workings when used primarily for candle dressing. Additional herbs and oil may be used for incense, offerings, altar work, and other justice-focused spiritual practices as desired.
Continue the Work
The ritual doesn't have to end when the candle burns out. If you'd like to continue the work, here are a few of my favorite companions to this ritual.
-
Bitch Be Gone Ritual Oil (clear away obstacles and conflict)
- Continue dressing candles throughout your case to help remove difficult people, unnecessary conflict, and anything standing between you and a fair resolution. You may also anoint your body or paperwork.
-
Pay Me Now Ritual Oil (call in money that's rightfully yours)
- If your legal matter involves unpaid wages, settlements, debts, or money owed to you, this oil is an excellent companion for continuing that work beyond the ritual.
-
Bc I Feel Like Death Tea (rest and recovery)
- Legal battles are stressful, even when things are going your way. Take a break, make yourself a cup of tea, and give your mind a chance to rest before tackling the next step.
