Yellow Brick Road Opener Ritual Guide

Welcome. I'm glad you're here :)

This ritual was designed to help remove obstacles, open roads, create momentum, uncover new opportunities, and clear the path toward your goals.

Road opening work is traditionally performed when life feels stuck, delayed, blocked, or frustratingly slow. Whether you're seeking new opportunities, a fresh start, career growth, improved finances, love, creative inspiration, housing, or simply movement in an area of life that feels stagnant, this ritual was designed to help create forward motion.

If you're a baby witch, you'll find detailed instructions to guide you through the process. No gatekeeping here.

If you're a seasoned practitioner, take a look anyway. Included is helpful information on your kit, techniques I have found to be especially effective beyond lighting a wick, and suggestions for continuing the work after the initial ritual is complete.

Full Ritual Instructions

Begin by creating sacred space. Light incense and play music that helps you shift into a ritual mindset. The included herbal blend may be burned on charcoal, or you may use an incense of your own choosing.

Cleanse both your aura and your physical space by lighting the included ethically sourced Peruvian Palo Santo stick. As the smoke rises, visualize obstacles, delays, dead ends, confusion, and resistance dissolving and leaving your path.

If desired, create an altar or ritual workspace using keys, maps, business cards, résumés, photographs, vision boards, contracts, symbols of your goals, or other meaningful objects connected to the opportunities you wish to attract. If you do not maintain a formal spiritual practice, simply choose a quiet space where you can focus clearly on your intention.

On a piece of paper, write a clear and specific petition describing the road you wish to open. Focus on the opportunities, solutions, and outcomes you want to see rather than the obstacles currently standing in your way.

Hold the petition paper between your hands and charge it with your intention. Visualize doors opening, opportunities appearing, helpful people crossing your path, and circumstances aligning in your favor. Imagine yourself moving forward with ease and confidence toward your desired destination. Allow yourself to fully experience the feelings associated with success, progress, and momentum.

Next, hold the candle in your hands and charge it with the same intention. Carve words, symbols, sigils, affirmations, arrows, keys, or phrases related to your desired outcome into the wax.

Apply the ritual oil to the candle, sprinkle a small amount of herbal blend onto your petition paper, then roll the candle through the herbs while speaking your intention aloud.

Place the dressed candle into the included cast iron holder and set it inside a fire-safe bowl or dish. Fold your petition paper toward yourself once, then continue folding clockwise four times to draw opportunities and forward movement inward. Place the folded petition beneath the candle holder.

Light the candle and allow it to burn completely. Spend a few moments visualizing yourself already walking the open road before you. Focus on possibilities, solutions, and movement rather than delays or frustrations.

Once the candle has finished burning, leave the petition beneath the holder overnight. The following day, either burn the petition to ash in a fire-safe container or carry it with you for several days as a symbolic reminder that your path is actively opening before disposing of it.

So mote it be.
